Abstract

Teaching materials are very important to use during learning, teaching and learning activities in class depend on the books used. One of the teaching materials suitable for use by elementary school children is interactive picture story books, which are books made by combining stories, pictures packed with attractive cover pages, and can provide interaction with book readers. The use of teaching materials at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Raisul Anwar is limited, the teaching materials used by teachers are in the form of LKS books, so that some students often feel bored during learning. To overcome these problems, it is necessary to develop teaching materials in the form of interactive picture story books that can assist teachers in conveying subject matter and as learning resources for students. The aims of this study were: 1) To produce a product in the form of an interactive picture story book about the properties of Class V objects at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Raisul Anwar Probolinggo. 2) Knowing the Feasibility of Interactive Picture Storybooks about the Characteristics of Class V Objects at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Raisul Anwar Probolinggo. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The research model used is the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) by Robert Maribe Branch. This development research was carried out at Raisul Anwar Elementary School. Data collection instruments used in the form of observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of research on the development of interactive picture story books about the properties of objects draw conclusions: 1) The validation results of material experts obtained 96.6% and the validation results of media experts obtained 94.4%. 2) The results of the response of the science teacher obtained 98% and the response of class VA students obtained 92.4%, while class VB students obtained 97.3%. The results obtained from expert validation and user responses can be categorized as very feasible, because the average results obtained are at 90% and above. Based on the eligibility criteria, if a result of 81-100% is obtained, it is categorized as very feasible. In accordance with the eligibility criteria and the results obtained, interactive picture story books can be categorized as very feasible and have met the eligibility criteria for material, media and use. With this development, learning is more fun, interesting, effective, efficient, and learning objectives are achieved.
